The Fall.

It’s not the fall that kills you,

Not the way the earth does not even flinch.

There is no bargaining,

No hand to catch your flightless wings,

Just the dust of the same winds

And the moment you realise the ground

Has always been waiting,

The moment you realise that

The only way down is to go under

When you forget your name.

Your palace of thoughts watch

As you turn to your coffin to think.

The universe isn’t laughing,

It's watching the clock.

Is it floating if you sink?

Is it flight if the wind refuses you?

The sky does not open its arms

it only steps aside.

It’s not the fall that kills you, my east wind,

It’s the landing.
